Scheepsmodellen en Soldaatjes Museum: two collections, two addresses

The collection of the Scheepsmodellen en Soldaatjes Museum has been split. For ship models, the organisation refers you to De Klink in Nieuw-Dordrecht; the toy soldiers and scale models remain in Klazienaveen, by appointment.

Ships in model form

A ship model invites you to look closely at its construction and details. At De Klink, ask which models are on display and how the collection is explained.

A different world in miniature

According to the description, the Klazienaveen location focuses on miniature soldiers and scale models. There, a display takes on meaning through the explanation of its subject and the scene chosen.

Deciding your route in advance

The two parts have different access arrangements. A Tuesday opening at De Klink does not mean that the private location in Klazienaveen is open at the same time. Make separate appointments if you want to combine them.

Before you go

Klazienaveen by appointment only; De Klink has a stated Tuesday time window.

Ship models up close

The museum supplied these four photographs of models of the VOC ship Friesland, Goto Predestinatsia, Royal Sovereign and Hermione.
