Shipbuilding at the yard

The shipyard shows how different crafts come together in a vessel. The reconstruction of a sixteenth-century waterschip makes the stages of construction visible; the smithy reveals another part of the work.

Flevoland in pictures

The Flevowand tells Flevoland’s history in an embroidered work about sixty metres long. The Ventjager offers another view of life and work around the water.

The Batavia is on land

The ship was moved from the water onto land on 2 October 2026 for maintenance. Visitors cannot board it for now. The museum and shipyard remain open. The museum hopes to welcome visitors aboard again from 2027, but has not announced a firm date.
