The Britains Museum
The cases contain tractors, implements, combine harvesters, sheds, animals and accessories in both old and new displays. Britains made horse-drawn carts, animals and farm figures in 1:32 scale before its first tractor appeared in 1948: the Fordson E27N, known as the ‘Blue Heron’. From the 1960s, the brand grew into a leading maker of agricultural miniatures.
From attic room to shop
It began as a hobby with Britains miniatures in an attic room and grew into a business with a 250-square-metre shop, three warehouses and its own museum. Poppema buys and sells agricultural miniatures, including old and rare examples, and since 2018 has developed its own exclusive scale models with manufacturers.
Open shop days
The museum can be visited on open shop days or by appointment. In 2026 these are Friday 13 and Saturday 14 November, and Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 December. The museum is accessible only by stairs.
