Landschapmuseum: looking at the Netherlands in miniature

The Landschapmuseum in Beek-Ubbergen lets you look at the Dutch cultural landscape. Indoor displays and miniature landscapes outside turn the surroundings themselves into the subject of a museum visit.

What makes a landscape?

Photos and information about the cultural landscape invite you to pay attention to shapes you often pass on the way. What does an area look like, and what only strikes you once you look at it deliberately?

From ditch to miniature

Indoors you will find, among other things, an aquarium based on the farm ditch and an animal collection. In the garden are miniature landscapes that place different Dutch landscape types side by side. This lets you discover on a small scale differences that lie spread out outside.

Combining indoors and outdoors

Viewing boxes and trails give children their own way into the subject. When planning, also allow for the outdoor part and suitable weather. The museum is seasonal: in the winter months, an ordinary afternoon visit is not possible.

Before you go

Plan within April to October; the museum is also closed on public holidays.
