Museum Stad Appingedam occupies two historic buildings in the town centre. In 2026 it opened Made in Appingedam, an exhibition about local industry in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
The renewed permanent display introduced an interactive table, a crafts cellar with Pieter Tij Houwerzijl’s historic coppersmith’s workshop, and Otto Kalkhoven’s photography exhibition Man/Vrouw in Werkplaats.
