Oorlogsmuseum Middelstum opened in April 2015. Its collection contains more than 20,000 objects, mainly relating to Groningen and neighbouring regions during the Second World War.
Alongside photographs, documents, uniforms and decorations, the museum displays aircraft engines, a sea mine, an aircraft bomb and archaeological finds from Groningen.
