Marres: exhibitions throughout the house

Marres, Huis voor Hedendaagse Cultuur in Maastricht, presents exhibitions that can make use of rooms, corridors and stairs. The announced closure for installation runs up to and including 2 October 2026; check the reopening before you go.

Plan your visit ↗

Entering an installation

The display can turn several rooms into a single whole. Follow the instructions on route and use, and take time to see how the next room changes the experience.

The programme decides

Workshops, Currents and other projects have their own dates. A familiar programme label does not guarantee a current exhibition; the calendar is the starting point for a specific visit.

Garden and restaurant

Marres Kitchen and the city garden are additional parts with their own access. Their being available does not automatically mean that the exhibition spaces are open too.

Before you go

Only the ground floor is wheelchair accessible. Discuss in advance which parts you can see and check the conditions for Friday evenings; the installation closure takes precedence over the regular weekly schedule.
