Militair Historisch Museum Achtmaal: a local view of war

The Militair Historisch Museum in Achtmaal focuses among other things on the American 104th Infantry Division, known as the Timberwolves. The run-up to the war, the occupation and local veterans form other parts of the subject.

Different experiences

Veterans’ stories call for attention to their own context. Read who is speaking and which event is being covered, without letting a single experience stand for the whole subject.

Remembrance and activities

Remembrance and re-enactment activities are mentioned as additional offerings. They are tied to specific dates and are not automatically part of a regular museum opening.
