An old name in the same place
The name Designhuis may still appear in descriptions of the building. That does not mean the former exhibition function continues. If you are coming specifically for design, look for a current design venue or exhibition rather than simply following the old address.
A remembrance centre
Het Hornemann Huis tells the story of the young Jewish brothers Edo and Lex Hornemann, who were murdered. This is a separate institution with its own presentation and visitor information. A visit therefore calls for different expectations from a design exhibition.
Planning afresh
For the building’s current function, use the information from Het Hornemann Huis. Check the opening times, any booking requirements and accessibility there. Old hours or admission conditions for the Designhuis cannot be used to plan a visit to the remembrance centre.
