Compare two jukeboxes before choosing any music. Note the layout of the front, the controls and the way a selection is displayed. Which parts are meant to attract attention and which are for operating the machine?
Then the sound
Ask which jukeboxes can be played during your visit and how the controls work. A demonstration can help you understand the link between a choice and the playback. Only operate the machines according to the instructions on site.
Restoration as a talking point
Restoration, sales and servicing are also part of the location. For a given machine, ask what was repaired to make it play again. Visiting the museum and any purchase are separate activities; you can take your time getting acquainted without having to choose a machine straight away.
