Follow the guide’s explanation and choose an activity you would like to know more about. How was it carried out and what objects were needed for it? Questions like these make a household or working day of the past more concrete than just looking at old things.
Room for recognition
Some visitors recognise something from family stories; others see it for the first time. Compare those reactions during the tour and ask further when a custom is unfamiliar. You do not need to know the region to look on with curiosity.
Extending your visit
A covered-wagon ride or horse-drawn tram is among the possible extras. Discuss availability and booking in advance and allow separate time for it in addition to the guided tour. The playground and animals can also be a reason to stay on the grounds after the museum route.

Groups make an appointment. Check the starting time of the guided tour; the grounds’ hours do not automatically give a start time.
