Elvis Museum Alkmaar: ask about the current presentation first

The Elvis Museum was part of the museum complex on the Pettemerstraat in Alkmaar. Reports of it being wound down and auctioned make it uncertain what Elvis content can still be visited.

Plan your visit ↗

A former collection

The collection was described as including records, clothing and other memorabilia relating to Elvis Presley. Such descriptions tell you what was there before. They offer no certainty that the same objects are still on display in an exhibition.

A changing complex

The building also houses the Beatles Museum and other sections. The current main presentation no longer consistently mentions Elvis, while an old Elvis page still exists. That discrepancy is a reason to ask specifically about this part of the museum.

Complex hours are not enough

Even when the building is open, the Elvis presentation may have gone or changed. So do not travel solely on the basis of the shared opening times. Ask for advance confirmation of whether there is still an Elvis room and what of it is available.

Before you go

Current status of the Elvis room unknown. The Beatles complex being open is no confirmation of access to Elvis.
