Het Beatles Museum: a collection around four musicians

Het Beatles Museum in Alkmaar is built around a private collection about The Beatles. The presentation is part of a complex covering several music and media subjects.

A band through collected items

A fan collection offers a different route through music history from just listening to songs. Look at what information is given with an object and ask how it is connected to the band. That way memorabilia gain more meaning than their recognisable image.

More media in the same building

The complex also covers offshore radio stations and audio and video. On arrival, check which sections are included in your ticket and are open. The former Elvis section is uncertain and is not automatically part of what is currently on offer.

A shorter week from October

From October the museum is also closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. That is a significant change from the more generous summer timetable. The Museumkaart (Dutch museum pass) is not listed as valid; group guided tours can be requested separately.

Before you go

From October, check the more limited opening week and ask which parts of the museum are currently accessible.
