The cellar location keeps the transition between city and museum small. After your visit, take in the street surroundings again, without assuming that every find was made close to the museum.
Discussing a find of your own
A finds consultation hour is offered by appointment. This is a separate activity with its own location or arrangements; do not assume that identification is available whenever the museum is open.
Before you go
The entrance can only be reached by stairs. Check special closures during hot weather and on public holidays; the former access via Frans Hals Museum HAL is no longer available.
