Different voices
A personal story offers its own perspective on care and recovery. Take that as a starting point and let different experiences exist side by side, without turning a single story into a general explanation.
Literature as another way in
Madness in world literature is mentioned as a collection subject. A literary portrayal does something different from a historical document or testimony; that very difference can deepen your viewing.
Exploring the estate further
Guided tours connect the Verhalenkamer with its surroundings. The information point also has walking and cycling maps, so an indoor visit can be combined with a route outside.
Before you go
Check the Tuesday-to-Saturday opening and make an appointment for a guided visit. Extra Sunday openings are special occasions and do not form a fixed visiting schedule.
