An object without an obvious story
On the beach it is not immediately clear where something has come from. In the museum, read what background is known for a find and which questions remain open. That makes looking more precise than simply guessing at a spectacular origin.
A focused search with children
A treasure trail and a pirate ship give young visitors their own way in. Also leave room to look at a few ordinary objects. A bottle or a net can spark as much conversation as a large piece of material.
Two floors
The museum is in the De Rotonde building and admission is free. Only the upper floor is listed as wheelchair accessible. Groups outside the usual hours need plenty of preparation; get in touch a few weeks in advance.
