Photos as local memory
The Bakels photo collection is a way into streets, people and change. See which place a photo shows and what the explanation says about the moment. Recognition becomes more interesting when you also notice what is different in the picture.
Art, and racing too
Paintings and period rooms set different accents from photography. There is also material on motor racing in Zandvoort. This variety makes it worthwhile to choose a few subjects to spend longer on.
A changing exhibition
The permanent display is supplemented by temporary exhibitions and activities. Check the programme if you are coming for a particular artist or subject. Public holidays and events can lead to closure or shorter hours, even with an otherwise generous weekly schedule.
Before you go
Check temporary exhibitions and special closures, especially around public holidays.
