The presentations may use line, gesture, space and material in different ways. For each work, ask what functions here as a ‘drawing’, rather than simply looking for paper.
The programme changes
Exhibitions and artist residencies change through the year. Check the current theme beforehand, and only read the longer explanation after your first walk-through.
Gardens as an outdoor collection
Outdoors, artists respond to nature and landscape. Pay attention to season, growth and decay; a garden work does not look the same every month.
Before you go
The Drawing Studio is at a different address from the centre and is not automatically open to walk-in visitors. The main location has a lift and an accessible toilet.
