Waiting for the new route

The renovation includes a different visitor route and sightlines towards the IJssel. This makes the building itself part of getting to know Kampen and its surroundings.

Avercamp on the agenda

An exhibition on Avercamp has been announced for the reopening. It is scheduled to run from 3 October 2026 to 10 January 2027; check the definitive visitor information.

More than exhibition rooms

The Schepenzaal (the medieval aldermen's hall) and a mural by FreelingWaters are also mentioned as part of the new layout. Ask which rooms are included with your ticket and preferred visitor route.

Before you go

Until the announced reopening, you cannot count on regular museum access. Also ask about the accessibility of the renewed route.
