Museum Hulst: a regional story in ten rooms

Museum Hulst in the 's-Landshuis covers the history of Oost-Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Themed rooms divide the broad story into subjects that you can explore step by step.

Breaking up a long history

Geology and early settlement offer different ways in from the Middle Ages, peat and wars. Choose the main thread first, or instead a single subject that interests you. The division into rooms means you do not have to take everything in at once.

Hulst and its surroundings

The Flemish period, the fortifications and Hulst as a Reynaert town (Reynaertstad) give the place its own profile within the regional story. Read how the presentation links these subjects and where a new period or theme begins.

An accessible building visit

There is a lift in the historic building. The regular schedule on Sunday differs from the other days: the museum does not open until twelve o’clock. Around carnival, public holidays and the last days of December, additional exceptions apply, which you need to check separately.

Before you go

Check the extensive schedule of exceptions; Sunday starts later than the other days.
