Het Kaas Museum Bodegraven: a museum venue that has closed

Het Kaas Museum in Bodegraven has been permanently closed since 2024. The former presentation on cheesemaking and the cheese trade is no longer available as a museum visit at the old address.

A familiar regional subject

Cheesemaking and trade formed the content of the museum. Objects and explanations took a well-known product back to the work behind it. That description belongs to the former presentation, not to a current exhibition in Bodegraven.

The collection moved on

Parts of the collection have gone to other museums and heritage organisations. That does not mean the whole former display can automatically be seen there. For a specific object, you need to establish the current custodian and exhibition status separately.

No old appointment arrangement

In the final period group visits were still possible, but that arrangement has ended. Old guides or reports about it therefore do not give current access. For a new cheese-related museum visit, look for an open venue with its own visitor information.

Before you go

The museum in Bodegraven is permanently closed; there are no longer any regular or old group hours.
