Rereading a saying
A quotation gains meaning from the words around it, the speaker and the occasion. So use the texts offered as a prompt to look at origin and context too, when these are available.

The projects place the emphasis on writing and phrasing. Compare how a thought changes when it is expressed very concisely; an appealing sentence can at the same time raise questions that need more explanation.
