ONSe BUNKER: war history at a recreation area

ONSe BUNKER in Hoek van Holland is a small museum in an Atlantic Wall bunker at the recreation area. The exhibition focuses on, among other things, living and surviving in bunkers.

Plan your visit ↗

A limited space

The bunker admits only a small number of visitors at a time. That suits a tour in which you stand close to the displays. Take time for the explanations and wait for instructions when the space is full.

Life within concrete walls

The subject calls for more than a glance at building materials. Note how the exhibition explains everyday conditions and which objects go with them. This gives the bunker a human side alongside its military function.

A Saturday in the season

Regular opening is on Saturday from March to the end of October. In winter there is an announced closing period. For another type of visit, get in touch and have it confirmed where you should report at the recreation area.

Before you go

Check the season and the route at the recreation area; a maximum of ten visitors may enter at a time.
