Start with a question
What do you want to understand about space travel: how something gets up there, what a satellite does or what a space project looks like? Choose one way in and let the exhibitions take you further. That way a broad technical subject stays manageable.
Look at function
With whatever you see, try first to establish what it is intended for. Shape and size become more interesting once you can link them to a function. Read the explanation before drawing conclusions about an object or display.
Exceptions in the calendar
Usual opening is from Tuesday to Sunday. However, there are specific closures, shorter days and additional Mondays when it is open. A visit to Space Expo is also a museum visit; do not assume automatic access to the neighbouring ESA/ESTEC site.
Before you go
On 27 September 2026 Space Expo is closed; on 29 September it closes at 16.00. Check the calendar and bring a payment card.
