Voorlinden: art, space and garden

Voorlinden in Wassenaar combines modern and contemporary art with an estate and gardens. Some works call for more than just looking: your position in the space also plays a part.

Experiencing space

The Highlights include Swimming Pool by Leandro Erlich, Open Ended by Richard Serra and Skyspace by James Turrell. Take the time to discover what a work does to the way you see. Follow the instructions for access and use.

A changing display

Alongside the well-known works there are temporary exhibitions. From September 2026 the anniversary exhibition Celebrating the Icons of Art is on the programme. Check the current room layout; a temporary exhibition may affect the route and the availability of other works.

Inside and outside

Leave room for the garden when you plan your visit. You can use it to alternate with the intensive looking indoors. The museum is open daily, but the Museumkaart (Dutch museum pass) and the VriendenLoterij VIP-pas are not valid for admission here.

Before you go

Look at the current exhibition information and ticket conditions; do not assume admission with your Museumkaart (Dutch museum pass).
