Museum de Fundatie: collection and digital art in Zwolle
Zwolle is showing a collection presentation alongside Digital by Nature. The museum also has a site in Heino.

Museum de Fundatie brings together two buildings and two collections: Dirk Hannema’s and that of the province of Overijssel. This profile focuses on its site in central Zwolle. The institution also presents art on an estate near Heino.
According to the museum, the Fundatie Collection contains more than 16,000 objects. Collector Dirk Hannema laid its foundations; since 1993 the museum has also managed the province of Overijssel’s modern and contemporary art collection. Parts of the collection are on view in Zwolle and Heino.

Digital by Nature, devoted to Miguel Chevalier, runs in Zwolle through 4 April 2027. The museum calls it his largest European solo exhibition so far, bringing together around 120 works from different stages of his career. A robot making drawings on the spot is among the examples described by the museum.
The collection presentation Kijk om je heen! is also scheduled through 4 April 2027. DEEP DIVE by Natalia Domínguez Rangel runs in Zwolle through the same date, while Symbio by Diana Scherer continues through 3 October 2027. Work by Elly Tamminga is on view at the Heino site through 7 March 2027.
The Zwolle entrance is at Blijmarkt 20. The museum opens Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; on the first Friday of each month it also opens from 5 to 9 p.m. Admission to that Fundatie Friday evening is free, according to the museum.
Adult admission is €17.50, while students and CJP cardholders pay €7.50; visitors aged eighteen and under enter free. Museumkaart holders also have free entry. The museum puts the walk from Zwolle station at about twelve minutes.
